There are places to attach bungee cords or mounting straps so you no longer have to scratch your bikes fender as you secure your cargo
If you are using an aftermarket seat other than the Saddlemen or Lucky Daves step ups, then look carefully at the measurements of the opening to ensure the rack will fit around your bikes seat
They do not work with nor require the Harley-Davidson mounting kits.
